In Niagara, the leaves are in full colour now. They were quite late this year because of our hot, dry summer. The temperature has cooled down. I’m loving this cooler weather! In fact, it’s my favorite time for running!
The fall is my favourite season of all. I welcome the cooler weather, the gorgeous cavalcade of fall colours and the fresh, earthy smell in the air. I love the return of routine! Fall is also my favorite season for running because of the cooler weather and beautiful scenery.
Now that the weather is dipping lower, you might be wondering what to wear running . One of my most popular post A Guide onWhat To Wear According To Temperature is trending now and it will tell you exactly how to dress for the for this weather and the colder winter weather ahead.
What was I wearing on my run today?
The temperature was hovering around 10 degrees today with the warm sun beaming down. A simple tank from Old Navy Active under and Old Navy Active running jacket, my new Climawear Raise The Bar leggings, and my Mizuno running shoes was all I needed.
What’s in store for this fall?
I usually run outside at lunch during the work week. This week however, I’ve reinstated my gym membership so that I have workout options during rainy/snowy days. I’d like to concentrate on some weight training this winter. I didn’t get all the workouts in that I planned last week, however, I did manage one NTC workout at the gym and a 5 km run on Sunday.
Coming Out of Of My Running Rut
It’s taking a while, but I feel like I’m slowing getting out of my running rut! I’m not working out nearly as often as I was when training for my half marathon or my triathlon. If I miss a couple of workouts a week, I’m not stressing out about it either. I’m actually thinking of increasing my mileage to 10 km this winter. And perhaps setting my sites on some races in February.
