A healthy lifestyle includes drinking plenty of water. I drink a lot of water throughout the day, especially in the dry environment at work. The Gaiam water bottle keeps me hydrated with function and style.
I was sent this Gaiam bottle for the purpose of a review. The thoughts and opinions are my own.
Water bottles are not created equal. They come in so many shapes, sizes and material. Depending on where and when you use your water bottle, the type of material, in my opinion matters. For my bike, I like a softer plastic bottle in case I drop it mid ride. For work, I’m not as fussy about material, I like something that will hold a good amount of water so I’m not running up and down the stairs all day. Features of the Gaiam Water Bottle:
This beautiful 500 ml Gaiam water bottle isn’t just about style. It’s full of great features too. Gaiam boasts the following:
- Keeps water cold for 24 hours
- Keeps water hot for 12 hours
- Stainless steel
- Easy-grip design
- Not-toxic, BPA-free
- No-leak vacuum seal
I’ve used this water bottle at home and at work since it was sent to me a few weeks ago. Here are my thoughts about the Gaiam water bottle.
Although these bottles come in various colours and patterns I picked to receive this particular bottle because I thought the peacock print was so beautiful. I wasn’t the only one to think it was really pretty. I had a few co-workers who noticed it and commented on it too.
Since I use this bottle at work, I love that the double walls prevents the bottle from sweating (in case the bottle ends up sitting on or near paper). The vacuum seal does help to keep my water cool. I have to admit though that I haven’t tested to see if the water would stay cold for up to 24 hours.
I like to put ice in my drinking water since I drink good ol’ tap water and I find it helps improve the taste. Unfortunately, the opening isn’t wide enough for a regular sized ice-cube.
The other unfortunate thing about having a stainless steel bottle, even though it’s a very sturdy bottle, is that it does dents easily. I know this because I am clumsy and I have already dropped it a few times! Although having said that, the previous cup I had was made of hard plastic, and when I dropped down the stairs at work, it cracked from top to bottom, making stainless steel the real winner, dents and all.
Overall, I find that the Gaiam bottle is a good bottle. The price is right, it’s functional and best of all, it comes in so many fun colours and gorgeous patterns that should inspire anyone to drink up!
