One of the reasons I love blogging is because I can look back at some of my amazing memories and relive them in detail as I read over old blog posts. It’s a way of journaling my achievements.
After I press “publish” on this week’s #MotivateMe Monday post I checked my post over. What came up in my “Related post” section at the bottom was a couple of posts reviewing my twin sister and I’s training journey to Iron Girl 2016, our first triathlon ever.
Firstly, it inspired me even more to seriously think about doing Iron Girl 2018. Yes, I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant, however, I should be up and ready to start training by May of 2018. That’s plenty of time to get back into somewhat decent post-baby shape for the race in August.
And secondly, it reminded me why I blog. I really enjoy re-living my memories through old blog post. I find that I forget details otherwise.
Today, I’ve compiled a round-up of all the posts about Julie (my twin sister) and I’s journey to our first Triathlon in this post. If you are wondering if you could do a triathlon, read through, and perhaps you’ll get inspired. To be honest, I had my doubts when I started! Heck, I didn’t even know how to swim other than stay afloat in the deep end.
In my opinion, anyone can take up the challenge. Afterall, I wasn’t a spring chicken when I started training. Julie and I were turning 40 and we wanted to do something new, fun and epic together to celebrate.
So, read through our training memoires, get inspired, get started on a your dream.
