Now that I don’t have any planned races in the near future, I need the #MotivateMe Monday linkup more than ever, otherwise, I might just want to “rest”. #MotivateMe Monday is a weekly link-up co-hosted the FitnessCheerleader and Running Rachel for accountability and encouragement. It’s a place to share goals, plans, successes and for each other to pick each other up to keep moving forward.
I completed my last planned race last weekend. I haven’t settled on my next race yet. There are a few in my sights, such as the 5 Km Colour Run on June 21, or a 5 km or 10 Km Race at the Peach Bud. I still have time to decided!
I’m doing very well so far with my 2015 Running Goals. I have been able to cross off more than half of it already! Perhaps this is the perfect time to start with more cross training? The Run for the Cure 5 Km Charity Race isn’t till October 4th, and I’m hoping to go as part of a Work team again this year. That leaves me one last goal, I will have to figure out how and when Julie and I can run together!
Here is what I had planned to do this week:
30 min easy run REST – I needed it
Running Revolution Lesson 1 NOTHING – but I can only blame the rain a little bit
Saturday – 5 Km run
I will be participating in the #MotivateMe Monday Linkup on the @fitcheerldr and @RunningRachel Click To Tweet
Here is what I plan to do this week:
Tuesday – Lesson 1 from Running Revolution
Thursday – Lesson 2 from Running Revolution
Sunday – 5 Km easy run
Signing up for races is the best way for me to stay motivated. What are your tips to keep going when you don’t have a planned race in sight?
