Feeling left out of your peers step challenge because you don’t own a Fitbit (you have a Garmin instead)? Well, you no longer have to have the fear of missing out! There is an app for that! And it’s called Stridekick!
Fitbit is probably one of the most popular fitness trackers on the market right now. At my work, that’s the one most people have. I enjoyed watching my coworkers motivate each other with their step challenge using the Fitbit app. I must admit I would have love to join in the fun, but was left out since I had a Garmin. FOMO (Fear of missing out)
Enter Stridekick! The solution for FOMO. With this App, everyone can join in the step challenge. Stridekick connects with Fitbit, Jawbone, Withings, Garmin, Misfit, Apple Watch, Xiaomi, Pebble, Polar, and even smartphones as trackers.
Download the app, create a challenge, and invite your friends, start stepping!
We tried this app at work, and I have to say, it was fun! If you are even slightly competitive, this app will get you motivated!
There is a free and paid version of Stridekick. The caveat here is the maximum of 10 people per group for the free challenges. However, what I did like about this group is that you can keep it private, invite only, that way, you have control over who joins the group.
This app also has a social media component to it. You can chat and add photos to share with your fellow challengers.
I really enjoyed using this app. It was easy to connect with my watch. I loved that you didn’t even need a fitness tracker that it will work with a smart phone as well! And having my coworkers to motivate me did get me out running a few time when I think I would have easily passed instead. Final verdict: two thumbs up for Stridekick!
