It’s the Summer Slow down here at Run Mommy Run. It’s a slow down from training, from blogging, and pretty much everything else!
A few weeks ago, I went on a blogging vacation! I also took some time and went on a real vacation. My husband and I took our son on a little camping trip, along with a bunch of my family! It was the first time we took our son camping. The weather was wet for the first few days, but we made the best of it.
We went boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming. We roasted marshmallows and sang by the campfire. The best thing about this vacation is that we didn’t go about with a schedule. We ate when we were hungry, slept when we were tired, and enjoyed some leisure time in between.
This mini vacation reminded me that it’s important to slow down and take in life once in a while. It was a reminder that unplugging from my phone (OK, I admit pulling it out once in a while to snap a few photos), and unplugging from my laptop is good for the soul! It allows me to reconnect with my family, and enjoy other passions in life.
I’m taking this camping vacation feel, and I’m going to apply it to the rest of my summer. Although I’m back to work from vacation, our summer schedule seems less structured.
I probably won’t be updating the blog on a regular schedule this summer. Because I’ll be focusing on my family and other passions, I’ll only be posting when I have something really great to share with you, dear readers.
I am currently working on a review of Pommello Sweats (as seen in the image above). I’m really excited to share with your this awesome new technology in activewear that will be launching soon. You can expect to hear from me and more on Pommello Sweats in the next couple of weeks.
I promise that I’ll be back with a regular schedule in September when my family life gets back to a regular schedule. In the meantime, take time to unplug once in a while, enjoy the hot weather (when you can) and enjoy the summer slow down.

Wednesday: a.m and p.m walks with the dog & 30 min walk at lunch
Thursday: a.m and p.m walks with the dog & 30 min runch
Friday: a.m and p.m walks with the dog
Saturday: a.m and p.m walks with the dog
Sunday: a.m and p.m walks with the dog,
