On today’s post, I talk about something that doesn’t come up in conversations often, but when it comes to running, can be very important: socks! To be more specific, I’m introducing U-Sox, stylish socks for women with active lifestyles.
U-Sox is an Italian made, modern sport sock brand designed exclusively for women who have an active lifestyle. U-Sox is part of Arcos, an Italian manufacturer of specialized socks. The company also makes Amazon best-selling Vitalsox athletic socks, Travelsox graduated compression travel socks, and Eurosock winter sport socks.
U-Sox, similar to other sports socks, are made from synthetic materials to wick away sweat. They are made of a blend of Polypropylene drystat, Elastam lycra and Polymide nylon. From their Amazon product description…
THE BENEFITS OF SILVER DRYSTAT – This silver infused fiber, using the base material of Polypropylene, is a naturally bacteria resistant and antifungal. Silver Drystat is a 100% recyclable, non toxic, odor resistant, quick drying material prevents blisters.
Whether you are a golfer, a runner or a gym rat, U-sox are for you since they constructed to stand up to vigorous athletic wear and tear. U-Sox also come in various styles; no-show, low-cut, extra low-cut, anklet, low anklet, and compression.
U-Sox are also affordable as far as performance socks go, ranging from $10 to $15 a pair.
I was recently sent 3 pairs to sample and review here on Run Mommy Run. I’ll start my review by stating that I am a huge fan of low-cut socks, specifically for wearing with running shoes. Most of my sock drawers consists of low-cut socks in fact. However, I tend to be boring with sox and mostly buy them in black, so getting to try out these 3 bright coloured U-sox was a fun treat!
I’m not saving the best for last. The first pair in my review will be my favorite pair of all, Milena. This pair is in fact more than just low-cut, it’s a no-show pair, which I really love. I’m very attracted by the purple/orange colour of this pair, and I find myself reaching for these first after laundry day! They seem a bit thicker than the other two pairs I received and I thought they were super comfortable, whether I was wearing them in running shoes, or just around the house.
Next up is Lara, a white pair with some colourful designs. A bit thinner than Milena, these low-cut socks look cute and pair well with running shoes of any colour.
And last, but not least was Vera, my pink pair. These cute, low-cut socks were very like Lara, with a bit more flair with its brighter colour!
I found all three pairs very comfortable. I haven’t been running distances longer than 5 km in months, so I haven’t tested them on long runs, but from my experience, I haven’t experienced any blisters or bunching from these U-Sox. Their colour and stylish patterns are very attractive and brighten up my day.
My conclusion: U-Sox are every stylish, high-quality sox that are at an affordable price!
