Peachbud 10 Km race
I finally have a new race in sight! I find that without a race as a goal, I start slacking on my training, so now I’ve committed to train and run in another 10 Km race. The Peachbud 10 km race is on a weekday evening. Running an evening race will be a first for me. Usually the races are on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The Peachbud race will be on June 30th, which is 8 weeks away!
My first 10 km race ever was on February of this year, which happened to be on one of the coldest day of the year as well. I figure that if I could run that race in 59 minutes in the freezing cold, I can do it in June, hopefully beating my time of 59 minutes!
I officially start my training on Tuesday of this week using the Adidas miCoach app again since I love it for training. I have also decided that I will add an extra day of “runching”, meaning running at lunch, so that I can be in the best possible form for the race. That will be 3 runches a week and 1 weekend long run for 8 weeks. I will give my best shot to also doing some cross training.

Here is I actually did this week:
Tuesday Wednesday – Lesson 3 from Running Revolution and 30 min run 30 minute run. Thursday Friday – Lesson 3 from Running Revolution & 30 min run a few upper body exercises
or Sunday – 5 Km run 9 Km run (first long run since my 10 Km race in February)
Sunday – Yoga for Runners
Here is what I plan to do this week:
Monday – Some workout from Nike Training
Tuesday – 40 min easy run (green zone)
Wednesday – 50 min run (yellow zone)
Thursday – Lesson 4 from Running Revolution & 31 min interval training
Friday – REST and maybe drink wine
Saturday – 55 min interval training
Sunday – Some workout from Nike Training
