My identical twin sister Julie and I live 500 km apart, however, we are training for our first triathlon sprint together in Iron Girl Grimsby this August. We are writing weekly updates of our tri-training on Wednesdays(ish) in an 8 week series called Trials & Tribulations of Triathlon Twins.
Well, this is the last post in this Triathlon Twins series. Next time I’ll be talking about the triathlon, I’ll be writing our Race Recap!
Iron Girl Grimsby is now only 3 days away. I’m anticipating with lots of excitement Julie’s arrival as she travels 500 kilometers on Friday for the event.
We will be going to the Iron Girl registration on Saturday afternoon to scope out the course, register (of course), check out the Iron Girl gear for sale and the exhibition. My son will be participating in the free kids race that afternoon as well with my husband and I.
You can check out Julie and my prediction (or how we expect to do) for Sunday’s triathlon in last week’s post,
On Sunday morning, Julie and I are going to get up really early and sneak out of the house so we can be at the course no later than 7:00 a.m. The race starts at 9:00 a.m.
We’ve anticipated this event for over a year now, we’ve trained for several months and now we have 3 days to go. We are both ready for this, and I know we’ll both do great.
I’m going to leave you with this last thought:
GAME ON, JULIE, GAME ON!
