A few days ago, I was chatting with @NikeWomen on Twitter. They challenged me to do Body Sculptor this weekend. When I agreed, they asked if I would report back to them and let them know how it goes.
I thought this would make a great blog post… no wait, a great Vlog post. I really don’t do enough of those.
The Body Sculptor workout is found on the Free Nike Training Club App. You can find it the beginner level in the Get Toned section. It’s a great workout because it’s only 30 minutes. It’s perfect for busy moms, they can do this one while the kids are napping and it doesn’t require a lot of equipment. I only needed a medicine ball and a few free weights.
Here is my video demonstrating some of the exercises from the workout. I might not be as coordinated and graceful as the lovely ladies demonstrating the exercises on the app, but I did get a great total body workout.
I mentioned in my last post (5 Ways Not To Look Stupid At The Gym) that I’m not a big fan of going to the gym because I feel intimidated. I love working out in the comfort of my own home. When it comes to using weights and equipment, I don’t have a vast amount of knowledge so I love using Nike Training App. It has all workouts designed for you. It really takes the brain work out of it. If you don’t know how to do an exercise, you can click on it and a short clip will demonstrate it for you.
I also like how it coaches you through some exercises. The app tells you when to switch sides and it also counts down the time for you! It really is a great app for woman who want to start working out and are not too sure how to go about it! You can select from 4 different goals: Get Lean, Get Toned, Get Strong and Get Focused as well as 3 levels of difficulty; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The best part of this app is that it’s FREE.
Do you use Nike Training Club to workout? Which is your favorite to workout to?
